Durban is the second largest city in South Africa in terms of population; more than 3.2 million people call this bustling city home. It has a flourishing tourist industry due to its warm climate and its beautiful coastline. Situated on the east coast, Durban has the busiest port in the country, lending itself to a strong industrial and commercial infrastructure. Durban has suffered in recent years from economic and social upheaval but major regeneration projects will see the largest city in the Natal region reborn over the next few years.
